PETER A. NITZE
As CEO, Peter oversees all aspects of Nitze-Stagen’s integrated real estate investment and property management activities, as well as its portfolio of properties located in the greater Seattle market, including the iconic SODO Starbucks Center. He brings over 30 years of experience in the successful management and growth of companies at every stage of development to his current role and has overseen more than $100m of construction and redevelopment at the Starbucks Center as well as other major development projects in the US and abroad.He co-founded the development partnership OZ Navigator that has invested in six Opportunity Zone projects in Seattle and Los Angeles and catalyzes neighborhood revitalization. He holds a BA from Harvard College and two master’s degrees in engineering from Stanford University.
BRAD PADDEN
Brad Padden is the CEO and founder of Housing Diversity Corporation (HDC), pioneering innovative models for private capital investment in affordable housing. Under his leadership, HDC manages over $1.15 billion in development projects and 1,223 occupied apartments, having raised more than $214 million in equity and ranking in the top 5% of tracked Opportunity Zone funds. Brad has developed approaches for creating affordable and permanent supportive housing without traditional public funding, delivering 374 units in downtown Los Angeles through partnerships with LAHSA and PATH while maintaining market-rate returns for investors. Together with Peter and Lisa Nitze, Brad co-founded both the Chinatown-International District Coalition for Safety and Security and the Alliance for Safety, Affordability and Preservation (ASAP!), working alongside diverse stakeholders to advocate for housing solutions and seismic safety improvements throughout Seattle.
LISA NITZE
Lisa Chairs the Nitze-Stagen Board of Directors. As Principal, Lisa ensures that Nitze-Stagen is providing value to the communities where it has projects and to its project investors. Lisa has 30 years of experience leading organizations and initiatives seeking to develop and implement strategies for positive social change. Having started and led four nonprofits, Lisa was most recently CEO of Seattle Social Venture Partners working with nearly 600 philanthropists to invest in social change in the Puget Sound region. Lisa sits on the Executive Committee of the Board of the Downtown Seattle Association, and on the Boards of the Metropolitan Improvement District, Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority, Chinatown International District Public Safety Council and WELD Seattle. Additionally, Lisa Chairs the nonprofit Build 4 Community that seeks to establish a BIA supporting a thriving community in the Judkins Park area of South Seattle. Lisa holds a BA from Harvard College and an MBA from Stanford University.
